Just Some Thoughts

'Tis the Season
Here are a few signs that Summer is in full bloom:
- It's hot ... California hot!
- Nope, that's no ordinary haze - that's thick smoke from our famous wildfires.
- Sweaty armpits
- There's nothing to watch on TV (I'm going through "Office" withdrawals)
- The kids are enjoying their summer vacations while us, grown-ups, spend 8 to 10 hours inside our little cubicles.
- Allergies
- Blockbuster movies: Indiana Jones, Iron Man, and Prince Caspian are all highly recommended. Pass up on The Happening 'cause nothing really happened throughout the film.
- Ridiculously high gas prices. Shame on you, Congress & the White House, for letting us all suffer!

8 is Enough
Speaking of the White House, I'm so glad that we are in an election year. Seriously, whether it'd be McCain or Obama, it will be a vast improvement from the hideous Bush regime. Unfortunately for these 2 candidates, the damage that Bush caused these past 8 years will take decades to repair. Looking back in 2004, I just want to say "thanks" to all who re-elected Bush & Cheney. Thanks for the horrendous state of the economy. Thanks for the empty promises of progress in Iraq. Thanks for destroying the U.S.'s reputation and ignoring the diplomatic process to gain peace in the world. Thanks for threats to Iran. Thanks for the high oil gas prices. Thanks for FEMA's incomptetence. Thanks for still not having a clear plan for National Security. Thanks for tax breaks for the wealthy. Thanks for ignoring the problems of our health care system. I could go on & on & on ...
8 years! 8 years will soon be over.
