2007: A Look Back

2007 was a tremendous year! As you all know, our biggest & most memorable event was our fabulous October wedding. Everything that we dreamt of and wished for came to fruition. That whole evening will be embeded in our memories forever - it was perfect in every which way. Dee and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

The past year also brought on some changes within my career with the Chronicle. Back in March, I took on a new position which included more responsibility & greater expectations. My decision to go in to 'sales' was not motivated by money. I just needed a change and God presented me with the perfect opportunity. It's so easy for us to get stuck in a rut and be comfortable with our jobs (see the movie Office Space). But, I believe that God wants us to continue to grow and for us to take on new challenges in life. I'm glad I took the plunge.

Jenny, Shelby, and Anthony had a big year as well. It's not easy growing up, but I'm so proud of them and their accomplishments in 2007. Yep, another year goes by, another year older ... they're not cute, little kids anymore. I still love them, but I sure miss the "cuteness".

As far as this past holiday season, I want to thank everyone who took time to give me a present this year. I'm a simple guy to please. Material things don't mean a whole lot to me ... but it's nice to get cool things every once in a while. My suggestion: every Christmas should be a White Elephant Christmas!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to more blessings, craziness, and laughter in 2008. But first, I want to revisit 2007 ... in pictures.

God bless everyone and happy new year to all!
