April: A Month of Blessings
What an eventful month!
Almost a Teen
First, Shelby celebrated her 12th Birthday. Yay! Our little girl is almost a teenager. Can you believe it? By next year, we'll have 2 teen girls at home. Yikes! Anyway, Shelby didn't want a big celebration this year (I guess that's part of growing up ... no more big hooplas). Although, we did take a trip to Disneyland last month - not necessarily for her birthday, but it was a celebration nonetheless.
The Big 6-0!
Speaking of birthdays, my Dad celebrated his 60th this year. My stepmom did a great job in orgranizing & taking charge of the event. My dad was extremely surprised! He totally didn't expect the amount of people who turned out for his birthday. Anyway, I pray that God would continue to bless him and give him many many more birthdays.
Goodbye, Chronicle ... Hello, BART
After 20+ years with the Chronicle, Dee finally decided to leave and pursue a career at BART. This new job came as a real blessing for her and for us as a family. It's a big step and a big change for her and we're all so very proud of her. It's not easy getting in to BART. She had to take several tests, background checks, a couple of interviews, etc. For anybody to be hired as a station agent is a real big deal. To our friends & family, we ask you to pray for her during this transition in her life. We know it's God's will for her to change jobs and we have faith that He'll take care of her and that He'll be with her every step of the way. We love you, babe! We're very proud of you!

Thank you, Dee. Now I know that at least one station agent out there will be very friendly and helpful.
