Give Thanks (2004)
I am grateful for every year that passes by. Like in past years, 2004 had some highlights and low lights; but mostly highlights.
I’m thankful for my health. There was only one time this year that I got really sick. I think it was back in March. I actually had to drive to the Kaiser E.R. at 6 in the morning because my fever got worse throughout the night. The doctor discovered that I had an ear infection. Unbelievable. And, embarrassing.
I’m thankful for my job. We had layoffs at the end of October and I was spared. Thank God. I’m hoping that 2005 will bring us better luck. The economy can’t stay this bad forever. Well, since Bush is at the helm, you never know anymore.
I’m thankful for vacations. The best one was the annual Malabuyo summer camping trip. It was a blast! Also, the trip to Disneyland with Dee was fun as well. We rode the "Tower of Terror" and we couldn’t stop screaming throughout the whole ride. What an adrenaline rush! Other memorable trips: Monterey Bay Aquarium, a beautiful evening trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (stayed there ‘till midnight), 3-day trip to South Lake Tahoe. Next year’s plans include, Hawaii, Vegas (again), and maybe the Philippines.
I turned 30 this year and had a nice get-to-together with friends and family at my favorite restaurant. Thanks to all that came. We’ll do it again in October. I love being 30.
I’m thankful for all my friends. Special thanks to: Ann, Michelle, Ali, Theresa, Bernice, Joseph (wherever you are)
I’m thankful for my family: To my Dad and stepmom for your continued support. To my brothers for always giving me something to laugh about and for your great company. To my cousins for being goofballs. To my aunts and uncles for always being here for me.
I’m thankful for Dee, Jenny, Shelby, and Anthony. Thanks for continuing to bring color in my life.
And last, and most important, I’m thankful to God for keeping me safe and providing me with people who care about me throughout the whole year.
Cheers!

The Philippines? That's cool. What about your brothers? You all haven't been back since you moved, have you?
Mac
Well, it all depends on the money(Crossing fingers). But yeah, we haven't visited since we came here in '92.
