Spring Happenings
Disneyland, Here We Come
Time is flying by fast! Easter is over and pretty soon it will already be summer. But before we say goodbye to spring, there are a few events that I'm super looking forward to. This coming weekend, we will be driving to one of our favorite places on Earth - Disneyland. Jenny's Wind Ensemble from Pleasant Hill Middle School was invited to play in Toontown for some sort of a Spring Musical Event. She’s been looking forward to this since December when the announcement was made. We’re so very proud of her and her accomplishments. This trip to Disneyland is truly a well-deserved reward for all her hard work.
Big 11
Shelby turned 11 last week. Yay! Because of our trip to Disneyland, we decided not to have a party this year. Instead, she got to go to Boomer’s for a day with a couple of her friends and, of course, with Jenny and Anthony. For dinner, she wanted to eat at … where else … Hooter’s. Nothing like having chicken wings after a day playing arcade games and go kart racing. Boomer’s & Hooters – can’t beat that! Happy 11th Birthday, Shel!

Go Warriors … and Sharks!
About this time of the year, most Warrior fans are already thinking about next year. After 13 straight years of not making the playoffs, they might actually break the jinx this spring. Notice how I said, “might”. Nothing comes easy if you’re a Warriors’ fan. Every year they always find a way to screw it up. I got my fingers crossed and I have faith … I hope that’s enough.
As for the Sharks, we know how good they are. We know what they’re capable of. It’s now just a matter of how much more punishment they can take from the other more physical teams in the playoffs. Even though they’re up 2-1 against Nashville, they’re still getting bullied all over the ice. They lack the physical game and the “dirty” tricks during the playoffs every year. In hockey, nice guys do finish last. The Sharks need to be more aggressive and need to play more dirty if they’re ever going to win it all. Go Sharks!
