Sea Monkeys

After losing only 1 game all season, Jenny's indoor soccer team lost for the second time this past Saturday in the championship game. They were shutout by the other team, 2-0. The girls took the loss quite well. I think we, the parents, were more disappointed than they were. All in all, Jenny had a great first experience of playing organized sports. She scored 5 goals during the season and have really become one of the more important players on the team.
Attributing to the loss were the opposing team's goalie - she was like a magnet to the ball. Nothing got passed her - amazing for an 11-yr old. Plus, with only 2 hours of rest between games, the Sea Monkeys were tired by the middle of the first half. But, like I said, the girls played their hearts out and they're champions just for that.
