Pat Robertson is Reckless!

Seriously, this man must be under some sort of medication for saying the things he’s been saying. It’s either that, or this is a result of old age. I respect Pat Robertson because his program, The 700 Club, was one of my late mom’s favorite shows. Plus, I do believe that Pat Robertson has changed lives throughout his years of ministry. However, it is not his place to be making such outrageous comments at a time when religious tension is already at a boiling point. Instead of making ignorant comments about the faults of radical Muslims, maybe he should reach out and teach about humility, peace, unity, and racial harmony – things that Jesus actually taught us. We already have enough people in the world who are fueling the fire of violence. We don’t need another one – especially one who proclaims to be a God-fearing Christian leader.

And here’s another thing, here in America, we easily tolerate the media and Hollywood when they make fun of Jesus Christ. What does that say about us as a culture – a so-called Christian nation? I’m not saying that Christians should take it to the streets and protest every time Jesus gets ridiculed. But, do you see the difference between Islam and Christianity? It seems like the followers of Islam follow their faith with more reverence that Christians. Again, what does that say about OUR Faith when we turn a blind eye as Christ gets reduced to some sort of a cheap pop celebrity?

And one last thing, Americans should be the last people on Earth to criticize other cultures of wanting to dominate the world.
