The Oscars
There were only 4 things worth mentioning from the 78th Annual Academy Awards:
1) Jon Stewart – For being a first-time emcee, the guy did a tremendous job. Hosting the Oscars may very well be the toughest gig on the planet. For four hours, every move you make and every word you say is carefully dissected and criticized. It’s worse than being president.
2) Salma Hayek – She needs to be in every Oscar awards ceremony … just for obvious reasons.
3) It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp
4) Crash – Munich was even a better film than Brokeback Mountain so I don’t understand why people are so shocked that Crash actually won for Best Picture. Brokeback Mountain was a well-made film, but Crash has longevity. It was such a memorable film – a film that dove in to the darkest depths of human behavior. It’s a film that showed the best and the worst out of all of us. I’ve said before, it’s the type of movie that will have you thinking long after you walk out of the theaters – and we’re still thinking and talking about it now.
