Now Here's Something New ...

the President actually owning up to the failures of the federal government? Wow! I got to give him credit. Instead of finger pointing and blaming his pal, Mike Brown, for the lack of response effort, George actually has taken on the full burden of the criticism. It’s not all his fault, even though he did appoint Mike Brown as the head of FEMA. And looking at Brown’s credentials, God knows why Bush picked him to be the head of such an important agency. So now that our president has not only publicly admitted that things did GO WRONG, but also taken FULL RESPONSIBILITY, can we now close the book on the “blame game” on Hurricane Katrina? And please someone tell Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and the rest of these Republican jokers on the radio to stop defending the federal government’s relief effort. Their own leader is waving the white flag. Their own leader now knows that things need to improve and that there’s incompetence within the system.

Now if we can only get George to apologize for Iraq … yeah, right!
