Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic
This is one of the coolest summer events in the Bay Area. We’ve gone to this twice and had a blast both times. One year we actually took a ride on one of the balloons. It was a real treat. We’re planning on going again this year. If any of you out there don’t mind waking up early to go and see the balloons, let us know and we’ll all go together. It’s quite an experience and definitely worth the 5am wake up. Plus, they have great food at the event … can’t beat that!

How much is it to go up in the balloon? Chesney says she did it once and it was $50. I want to go...
When we went, we didn't really go ALL the way up because of the high winds that particular day. I don't remember how much we actually paid for our ride. Still, just being in the event and watching all the balloons while eating a nice breakfast is pretty cool.
I want to go.
